-Yes, I earned the grade I was expecting on my oral summative assessment because although my partner and I had a good conversation in French where we both mostly understood what the other person was seeing, I had many grammatical errors. Also, I need to be more involved in the conversation like asking more questions instead of answering them, but not make it like an interview.
- Short-term goals I need to work on for these next few weeks are my verbs in the passé and when to use the appropriately. Mme Popowski can help me with this short-term goal by doing more lessons and activities in the passé. I can work on my passé in my own time using french activities from places like blackboard.
- Overall, I believe things in French for me right now are going fine. Although I definitely need to work on certain areas such as verbs in the passé I believe I can manage my time and be at a good place with the rest of the class.

Mariella, we will be working with the past tenses, (p.c. & imparfait), for the remainder of the year, not to worry. However, I do see that you need to work on the verbs that conjugate with être in the p.c. As you get further in your studies of French you will learn that you need to know these verbs for other tenses as well, (plus-que-parfait & le future antérieur), so it would do you well to memorize them now. Keep using the resources I've posted on Black board for you, (Les vidéos & les exercices interactifs sous l'onglet: Boîte à outils). Practice makes perfect. Keep pushing yourself to ask questions of your partner, as questions is what keeps a conversation going and also allows you to demonstrate your learning better.
